Yesterday's News is a family-owned vintage shop, now in our 25th year as one of NYC's longest-standing stores of its kind. Our story begins right here in the heart of Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, where my dad began building his vintage collectionclick on a piece of dad's collection to learn more! at just ten years old as the city around him kept changing.
Meet my Dad, JP
In the 1970s, Carroll Gardens looked a little different. My dad, JP Ferraioli, grew up on President Street in a working-class Italian-American neighborhood where the streets were his playground and mom-and-pop shops lined the sidewalks.
At the age of 10, his grandmother gave him a 1940s Coca-Cola tray, igniting a passion that would grow for over two decades, until he and my mom opened a store of their own in the neighborhood where it all began.
The Shop

We're constantly bringing in new inventory, and we carry vintage and antique furniture, home decor, lighting, art, ephemera, photos, clothing, jewelry, and much more. Stop by and see for yourself.
Every item in our shop is authentically vintage, sourced by hand from homes across Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island.
